Refuge in God
When worry moves in, the realization that everything is hopeless creeps in. I tend to step back and think about what I can do to remedy my situation, whether it’s raising a child, paying my taxes, earn for the family, or just deal with my health. Is it all worth it? Am I able to cope?
I am reminded of this verse:
Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him.
I must take refuge in God, for He’s the solution to all of my problems. I must start with him and He will be there for me. Here’s to new beginnings!
Lord, I’m asking you to come and fill me with your holy spirit. Protect myself and my family under your wings, keep me safe from harm. Help me to speak words that you want me to speak, and do what you want me to do. In your name, I pray! Amen.
