Firstly at DM, I managed to par the Par 3′s Hole 7 and 9th. I bogeyed the rest of the par 3′s, which was still great. Before that I managed to double bogey the hardest hole 6, a par 4 411 yards where I usually snowman. Overall, this was my best round of my life.
Then there was Anaheim Hills GC, a nicely maintained muni course yet challenging golf course, only 8 minutes away from my house. I had to struggle off the tee that day and relied so much on my 2nd shots using my hybrid-5 club to advance at least 150 yards. The best I could do was a par on the Par 4 – 6th hole – 340 yards, had a decent tee shot and great approach. I couldn’t remember if this was the hole that I did a 1-putt (Tony misplaced the other score card where I record my putts), but I believed it was a GIR and 2 putts. The best part of The Hills was the view – a very scenic golf course. A long course, a good test of my approach shots and I did feel more comfortable with my 30-50 yard pitch shots, more likely over green side bunkers.
How’s that for staying positive!
