Hi Zhu,
An iPod, Walkman, or any portable music player serves a purpose of entertaining me while I’m doing something mundane like mowing the lawn, waiting in a bus stop, traveling on the subway, jogging/walking, etc. Kids these days use it as a “badge of honour” or bragging rights – latest and greatest shiny new gadget. I believe that’s what’s wrong with kids having such a thing.

LOL. No iPod before 35 years old? I had a Sony walkman when I was 12. Recording and collecting those music tapes were the fun part of walkmans. I’m guessing iPod owners feel the same.
