Lunch bits - edition 2

December 4th, 2007 · 4 Comments

We went to Pho 99 for lunch. It was a sunny day when we talked about:

  • Fandango site having way too much data to process from their search engine. More than a million records - are there really that much info available out there for movies?
  • Amazon.com Web Services provide access to their database, such as the DVD movies list used by Target.com site. According to LK, Amazon’s API is pretty safe: no user information (cart, wish list, etc.) are shared with third party.
  • Kids with ADHD are being prescribed with ritalin? I wonder if it’s the parents fault, or the psychiatrists? And no, I don’t think TV is the cause of ADHD.
  • LA Story - gotta watch this movie again.

Um, are you planning to post minutes from all our lunches? Shouldn’t you be posting cute pics of Kaitlyn or something like that instead of posting lunchtime conversations that people didn’t know you’d be “sharing” with the entire world wide web? Just my $0.02.

I re-read my post again and you’re right, I think I put too much info. My intention was to take the interesting bits of conversation we had and posted any relevant URL for future reference. I should’ve left out the personal stuff. I apologize for that. Thanks for the rebuke.

Ok, the pho picture on the linkback makes my mouth water…. Sometimes I miss Seattle for the Asian food. Man there was some good pho out there. :)

Shandra: I’ll ask you for a list of Pho places when I visit Seattle, one of these days.
