The Sky is Still Orange

October 25th, 2007 · No Comment

Orange SkyOn the 5th day of the Santiago Canyon wild fire, the smoke and ash are still engulfing the Irvine area. This morning around 9am, on the way to work, I took this photo off the Barranca Pkwy car pool exit. The smoke is turning the sky eerie orange. The picture is just a small representation of the severity of the fire. The smoke is irritating the eye and the smell of ash makes it somewhat difficult to breath — I’m indoors with the office’s AC in full blast!

Jon Lansner observed the same thing and wrote about it in his blog.
